Doug Witt
Managing Director – Ignite
A natural fit for leading the Ignite Opportunity, Doug Witt is someone who truly understands how to achieve success. With a strong resume of experience as an independent entrepreneur, franchisee and corporate executive, Doug is uniquely qualified to lead the Ignite family.
Doug became the first employee of Ignite Energy back in October 2004 and quickly put his leadership skills and operational savvy to work to help craft one of the most dynamic network marketing enterprises in modern American business. In this role, Doug conceptualized, developed and implemented the company’s field training and marketing programs, planned and coordinated the company’s annual convention, and actively led the growth of the firm’s network marketing sales base through a variety of initiatives. During the fall of 2009, Doug was promoted to his current position as Managing Director of Marketing, with oversight of the entire Ignite Opportunity, in recognition of his numerous and noteworthy contributions to the company.
Prior to joining Ignite Energy, Doug applied his entrepreneurial skills in the deregulated Texas energy market as a marketing director for Option Energy in 2001. He quickly distinguished himself through his abilities as a trainer and sales leader, and he was selected Option Energy’s first Corporate Trainer by the company’s president.
Prior to Option Energy, Doug was an independent marketing director with Excel Telecommunications for nearly a decade. Due to his prowess as a sales organization leader in Excel, Doug consistently ranked in the top ten percent of the company’s money earners and was appointed by the company’s founder to develop and lead Excel’s national field leadership team.
In the early ’90s, Doug was one of the first franchisees of the ZuZu Handmade Mexican food chain. His accomplishments as a restaurateur and business owner led to his being elected the first Franchisee Association President by his fellow ZuZu franchisees.
Darryl Smith
Senior Director – Ignite
Darryl Smith has oversight of the firm’s Ignite Energy sales organization, in which position he guides marketing strategies, advertising and promotions as well as the development of Ignite’s Independent Associates on a national basis. Darryl also oversees the firm’s customer loyalty and retention efforts, with a focus on product marketing support for retention of customers and improved technologies to drive sales performance.
For five years prior to joining Stream Energy in 2005, Darryl functioned as Director of Field Development for Excel Telecommunications, where he was instrumental towards the field expansion of its core business to Canada, Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Before that, Mr. Smith served as Director of Sales and Supplies for H. B. Zachary (a major San Antonio-based public works contractor).
Darryl graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Steve Flores
Senior Director – Associate Support & Facilities Planning
As Director of Associate Support, Mr. Flores oversees all aspects of the company’s Associate Support call center and back-office operations. His expertise in call center management and business processes is helping to guide the company to achieve maximum efficiency and revenue growth.
Mr. Flores has had a very successful business career, which includes over 20 years of management experience providing strategic, business and operational leadership. Mr. Flores has extensive call center experience leading multiple departments in multi-billion dollar corporations, and he has a consistent track record of improving the bottom line by growing revenues, improving efficiencies, reducing expenses and maximizing employee productivity. Mr. Flores also has over 10 years of experience as a network marketing and direct selling professional.
Before joining the Ignite team, Mr. Flores was a Senior Manager at Excel Telecommunications. During his almost 10 years of tenure at Excel, Mr. Flores managed the strategic and day-to-day direction of a 300-employee call center operation, with responsibilities including hiring, training and personnel development.
Mr. Flores is also an experienced real estate investor. In the mid 1980s, before the age of 25, he purchased and owned over 20 rental properties worth over one million dollars. Mr. Flores’ real estate business has continued to thrive over the past several decades.
Adrian Avila
Director – Field Development
Adrian Avila serves as Director of Field Development for the firm’s Ignite marketing organization, where he is directly responsible for supporting its day to day operations and ensuring that Ignite’s associates have the tools and resources necessary for their success. Since joining Stream Energy during 2005, Adrian has worked closely with Ignite business partners at all levels and while building and reinforcing relationships, team culture and brand awareness. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he also brings a wealth of experience in field training and events, compensation enhancement, new product development, expansion into new markets and the implementation of recognition programs and initiatives.
Adrian brings to bear daily nearly fifteen years of experience in the network marketing industry as well as a high level of understanding in field relations and communication. Prior to joining Stream Energy, Adrian worked at Excel Telecommunications and first broke into the network marketing industry with Ameriplan USA, where he served as Divisional Sales Manager overseeing the overall field operations of a multi-state region, including the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and various Spanish speaking markets.
Michael Tacker
Director – Field Development
As a former business consultant/coach and professional speaker, Mr. Tacker has taught many business owners and executives how to work ‘on’ their businesses and not just ‘in’ them. He brings this same passion for helping others succeed to the Ignite Independent Associate community.
As the Director of Field Development with a primary focus on expanding markets for the Ignite Opportunity, Mr. Tacker is responsible for directing Ignite’s entry strategies into new markets. In his role, he ensures that the Ignite Independent Associates have an advocate in the corporate office as well as an “in the field” coach and mentor to help them build their business.
Mr. Tacker has an extensive business background as an owner, consultant, business coach and professional business speaker. He has presented his “Business Building Seminars” to businesses, Chamber organizations, civic groups and individuals across Texas.
Prior to joining the Ignite team, Mr. Tacker served in a similar capacity at Excel Telecommunications for six years. During his tenure at the company, Mr. Tacker was responsible for developing a strong training program and supporting the company’s top money earners in the development and management of their businesses.
Mr. Tacker has a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Finance from Baylor University.
Joe Natoli
Director – Field Development
Joe Natoli joined the Ignite Marketing Team as Director of Field Development to manage the Northeast Expansion. He is responsible for supporting the Ignite Associates as liaison with the corporate office, and with a focus on supporting the field’s day-to-day operations and directing its overall corporate strategic direction.
Before joining Ignite, Joe served in the network marketing industry for nearly ten years, most recently as Division Sales Manager for Avon Products Inc. His primary responsibility was to achieve consistent Independent Representative growth and improve retention. In addition, he directed corporate strategies via field hiring and training, Independent Representative planning and development, and product promotions/recognition events.
Joe’s prior experience has always been focused on coaching, mentoring and training others to reach their desired goals. His career started in public education along with coaching varsity basketball. He then transitioned into sales management roles for two Fortune 200 consumer product companies.
Mike Jones
Senior Manager – Associate Support
As the Senior Manager of Associate Support, Mike oversees all aspects of the company’s Associate Support call center and back-office operations. His expertise in call center management and business processes helps guide Stream and Ignite to achieve maximum efficiency and revenue growth.
Mike has experienced a very successful business career, which includes over 10 years of call center experience in billion-dollar corporations. His experience as a network marketing professional has helped improve efficiencies, reduce expenses and maximize employee productivity. He joined Stream Energy as the first member of Associate Support. He has built the department from the ground up by developing systems and implementing policies and procedures including, hiring and developing highly effective employees to assist our Associates.
Mike also enjoyed a successful five-year stint at another network marketing company before coming on board with Ignite.
Joanna McQuien
Senior Manager – IA Compliance and Ad Approval
Joanna McQuien serves as the Senior Manager for IA Compliance and Ad Approval. She is responsible for ensuring that Ignite’s sales force is compliant with Stream Energy’s advertising and customer-gathering policies. Joanna’s responsibilities ensure the integrity of the Ignite Opportunity for all Associates.
Joanna’s duties encompass a wide range of activities, including creating and enforcing the firm’s Customer Protection / Advertising Policies and Procedures to its sales force, conducting compliance workshops, investigating any potential abuses or complaints related to sales force activity, reviewing sales force-generated marketing tools, and working closely with the Legal / Regulatory Department.
Prior to joining Stream Energy, Joanna served in a managerial role of the VIP Support team at another network marketing company. In that role, she managed a team of 22 employees dedicated to supporting the 3000 top-level Associates.
Joanna’s dedicated service career spans over 28 years, over half of which are in the network marketing industry.
Chelsey Thompson
Manager – Events and Recognition
Chelsey Thompson is the Manager of Events and Recognition. Ignite is known for hosting great events and Chelsey’s creative flair brings a special touch to each one. Although she’s learned a lot in her field through hands-on experience and jumping in wherever needed, Chelsey continually enhances her knowledge more formally by attending seminars specifically for professional event planners. She is advancing towards her Meeting Professionals certification.
Before her current position, Chelsey was Marketing Project Manager in Ignite, being promoted to that position in 2008. Prior to that, she worked as Marketing Coordinator. Although she has worn many hats during her tenure at Ignite, Chelsey has always had an eye for events and that has continually propelled her career to greater heights.
Chelsey joined the firm as a receptionist in 2005 after graduating with her BBA in Marketing from Texas Christian University. Chelsey grew up in the Austin, Texas area.
Joel Diaz
Manager – Field Development
With his diverse technical background and linguistic skills, Joel Diaz is a unique addition to the Ignite team. Joel has taken the lead in his role as Manager of Field Development to expand the firm’s Spanish-speaking market. As such, he works on translating videos and interfaces with Associate Support to assist in the education of Hispanic Associates.
Joel is also acting Information Technology Liaison. In this role, he tracks all Associate-related system updates and ensures they run smoothly within Ignite’s back office systems. He contributes new ideas and innovations for the improvement of Associates’ Ignite websites, Power Center tools and other online resources.
Joel has proven to be exceptional in many disciplines. Besides having a degree in electronic engineering and computer science, he also has experience in video and post production work, help desk relations, technical business analysis and other related fields. His varied skills enable him to assist Ignite’s Associates in a variety of ways.
Jack Walker
Editor – Field Communications
As Editor of Field Communications, Jack writes and edits Ignite’s emails, letters, web pages and audio programs. He also contributes ideas and concepts to Ignite’s various promotions, events and campaigns.
Jack has enjoyed a long career in serving independent business owners. Before joining Ignite, he was an editor and freelance copywriter for five years, writing for over 25 direct selling companies and contributing to several industry-related magazines.
Prior to his freelance stint, Jack worked for more than 8 years with another network marketing company, where he served in a number of positions, including Copywriter and Internet Communications Coordinator. He particularly enjoyed writing cover stories for the company’s international sales magazine.
Jack has a Bachelors and a Masters degree, both in Politics, from the University of Dallas. He is currently working on a second Masters in the field of American Studies at his alma mater.
